I have been a Disney fan since I knew what Disney was. If I stop to think about it, my love of Disney probably came from my Grandmother. She always had some type of Disney item displayed in her house. During the holidays, we would often sit at her house and watch hours of Disney Christmas programs, or listen to Disney Christmas albums.
Although I had anticipated it for years, I didn’t actually travel to Walt Disney World until I was 18 years old. I instantly fell in love. I couldn’t imagine a better place to be. Over the next few years I had the pleasure of exploring the parks with my Grandmother on a couple of ocassions. I was always eager to hit the road for the 17 or 18 hour drive.
Since then, I have been lucky enough to take my wife and two children to Walt Disney World a couple of times per year. Although we generally visit WDW in the summer, we have also made trips to experience the Epcot Flower & Garden show, and have made several visits during the holiday season. (I’m not sure if my Grandmother was ever able to see that. She would have loved it.)
